André, NEUBURGER
1927 – 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved and loving husband, dad, and Opa. He leaves his devoted wife Hendrika (Klijn), dear children Karen, David, Naomi, Stephen and their partners, and adored grandchildren. He was sadly preceded in death by his dear son John.
Born in Amsterdam, son to the late Jacques and Esther (Solomons), André survived World War II in hiding, immigrating to Montreal in 1955 with the love of his life, Henny. A good-natured man with a sharp mind and intellect and witty humour, many interests filled his life. An aeronautical engineer, André was also a skilled photographer and woodworker, an avid reader and follower of current events, and adored classical music. He brought the family skiing in winter, camping in summer, and enjoyed trips further afield in retirement. But most of all he was a man who absolutely loved his family. We will miss him immeasurably.
André supported an array of humanitarian, medical, and cultural organizations and, f you wish to donate in his memory, we suggest choosing something close to your heart from these areas.
A family gathering has been held; a gathering with friends is being considered for early summer 2022. Details and the full-length version of this notice can be found at montrealgazette.remembering.ca/obituary/andre-neuburger-1083652946.
