LACOSTE, Arthur Marcel
April 7, 1939 – December 19, 2016
It is with profound sadness that we announce Marcel’s sudden passing on December 19th, 2016. Cherished husband of 54 years to Andrea (Robertson) and devoted father to Janet (John) and Steve (Vicky). He will be lovingly remembered as “Opa” by his grandchildren David, Thomas, Evan, James, Juliana and Kristina. Predeceased by his parents Rolande and Rolland Lacoste and by his brothers Pierre and Alain. He leaves to mourn his brothers Jean-Guy (Réjeanne) and Denis (Heïde) as well as his sister-in-laws Linda, Diane (Keith) and Willa. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, numerous other family members and friends. Marcel was well-known and respected in the insurance industry. Most recently working for Crawford Canada, he will be missed by the many friends and colleagues he made throughout his 50 year career. Marcel was a proud Canadian and generously volunteered his time in the community. He was honoured to have served as mayor of Otterburn Park for 8 years. In his spare time, he was an avid woodworker, enjoyed playing golf and always looked forward to spending time in Stowe. The family will receive condolences at Complexe Funéraire Demers (salondemers.com) 651 Blvd. Laurier, McMasterville, QC J3G 0K5 on Friday, January 6th, 2017 from 1pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at 11am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 120 Gervais, Otterburn Park, QC J3H 1B1 (corner of chemin des Patriotes). In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to the Shriners Hospital of Canada (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org) or La Maison Victor-Gadbois Palliative Care (maisonvictor-gadbois.com) would be greatly appreciate
